Lauren Cahillane

Lauren got her first taste of stand-up in 2012, and by the end of the year became Madison Wisconsin’s December 2012 Pundamonium champion. In 2014 she entered the Comedy Club on State’s Madison’s Funniest Comic competition, (passed the preliminary round!) and stand-up has been a regular part of her complete breakfast since then. Between 2015 and 2016 Lauren served the honored role of “female co-host” on Big C – The Homeless Comic Radio Show WVMO 98.7FM, wrote and performed live sketch comedy at The Woah Show, performed regularly at Bright Red Studios, and hosted and co-produced a Moonlit showcase.

As one of the few herbalist-educator comedians she knows, “Plants Pants Lauren” is proud to be the announcer and emcee for Midwest Women’s Herbal at their conferences since June 2017, and the founder of Plants Pants Healing Arts, which provides empowering and engaging wellness education.

A Northampton native, Lauren returned to the Pioneer Valley in spring of 2017, and by September she had joined Comedy as a Weapon, where she now contributes her endearing nerdiness, a nearly-off-putting exuberance, and a bit of the “stage mom” vibe.
